Frozen Planet

Just a few hours ago Dino and I finished the 7 part episode documentary film Frozen Planet. Wait, I stand corrected, I was able to watched 6 1/2 episodes, that's because my eyes can't handle it anymore and I'm pretty sure you understand how hard it is to try fighting your own self from falling asleep. Anyway, going back to my main subject, Frozen Planet was indeed a great documentary film. It was able to take us to the ends of the earth for free and without having to travel thousand miles from where we are. The technology that they used to put up such film was a break-through. All the equipment they used for the film just proved that we had really come a long way when it comes to technology and advancement. They were able to clearly featured all the interesting facts about being in the North and South Pole. From animals, to plants, to bacteria and the extreme weather conditions. What I liked the most about it, apart from the HD technology that they used was, they we're able to capture scenes filled with adventure, suspense and heart-felt drama. The animals in the wild like the polar bears, the penguins, the wolves, the bison, the birds, the whale, the sea-lions, the narwhals, the guillemots, the voles, the wolverine, the fish with anti-free element in its body and the caterpillar the can freeze itself for 6 months and resurrects and continuously do that cycle for 14 years before it can become a moth. All of them, they tell wonderful stories, stories that don't need scripts and yet creates a one-of-kind movie. We were amazed how intelligent animals in the wild are. Like let's say for example the killer whale that managed to do some sort of strategy by making a great wave to get the sea lion out of the ice floe, chase it afterwards and catch it effortlessly. The wolves of course have their own tactics for their prey. Funny thing was their prey was 10 times larger their size. But, nothing is impossible if there's team work, and that's how they do it. They gather their pack, plan a tactic and attack! There a lot of other interesting things featured in this film. But most importantly, it taught us a lot of lessons in life. Lessons like Team work as shown by the wolves and the killer whales and Love for Family as what the penguins and the Polar bears demonstrated. Dino and I were talking about film while having dinner. I told him that I think animals in the North and South Pole are very intelligent, compared to the ones that are kept in the Zoo, probably because of the kind of environment that they are into. He told me that if we humans are to live in those areas, without any material things, bringing only our sanity, he doubted if we can even survive for a week. I just wondered who in their right mind would ever want to live in those places without anything but sanity? Only animals can do that. I think animals out-smarted humans in that sense.
